On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, Governor Purdue announced that due to significant rainfall and improved water
supplies the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has issued a non-drought schedule for outdoor
water use for the first time since June 2006.
Under a non-drought schedule, outdoor water use is allowed three days a week on assigned days using odd and
even-numbered address as listed below.
• Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
• Even-numbered addresses can water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
• There is no watering on Fridays.
• Pressure washing can be done according to the same schedule – No Special Use Permit Required.
Although water use is allowed at any time of the day on the assigned days, landscape watering is discouraged
between 10 AM and 4 PM because of its limited effectiveness.
Please contact City Hall if you have any questions.
